Kailali Incident: Causing major disrupt

Nepal is in major disrupt due to the incident of December 4, 2009 resulting the death of seven squatters in Dudejhari forest, Kailali by Nepal Police force and Armed Police Force.  The forest encroachers trying to encroach local community forest land was the primary reason for the clash between the protestors and the security forces. Since then the violent and aggresive protest has been launched by the main opposition party UCPN( United Communist Party of Nepal) causing stir halt in the country.

The main opposition party are launching violent and aggresive protests to enforce the protest closing down the shops, governmental organisations, manhandling the government employees  as well as government offices  and torching the vehicles. Breaching the press freedom, the protestors are not even letting the press movement by torching the vehicles and obstructing  the distribution of newspapers. Beside the press movement, the ambulance used for an emergencies are even being torched .Thousands of passengers are stranded on the highway  due to the disruption of vehicular movement and almost most of the factories, goverment offices, educational institutions are shut down. The cadres are forcing to shut down the government offices by padlocking and forcing the employees out

The UCPN-cadres are demonstration on various regions of Nepal demanding the deceased to be declared as martyrs,treatment for injured, providing compensation to the deceased famililes and resignation of Home Minister for being responsible for the incident. However, Home Minister Bhim Rawal adressing a press meet  later in the capital blamed UCPN responsible for the incident using landless squatters to provoke the government for using the force.

The protest is leading negative impact for the tourism industry due to tourist being stranded in the airport and had no other options but to walk all the way to find a place to rest in.A vandalism of pharmacy in the capital was denied by the maoist blaming the infiltrators taking advantage of the scenario. The Home Minister denies the cruel brutality of the security forces and claimed chineses pistol, some rounds of bullets and communication radi set has been looted from the incident.

Moreover, top ranking goverment officials including Prime Minsiter are in talk with the Maoist supremo to end the ongoing political tension because of the protest launched by his party. Should the government and UCPN supremo not coming to conclusion, the country will be remain tense throughout.
